NEW SCOOBY-DOO MOVIES (1972-1973) - Blu-ray, DVD Announced & Detailed

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and Hanna Barbera has announced that they will release the almost complete collection of The New Scooby Doo Movies on Blu-ray and DVD this June to celebrate the loveable pup’s Golden 50th Anniversary!

As a follow-up to the half-hour Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! Series, which ran between 1969 and 1970 – The New Scooby Doo Movies aimed to offer “more sophisticated plots and characters” for the kids who grew up with the original series.
Released between 1972 and 1973, these hour-long movies… well, 40 minute movies, if you discount commercials… sent Scooby and the Mystery Inc gang on further adventures, accompanied by some of the eras biggest names in pop culture.

The New Scooby Doo Movies: The (Almost) Complete Collection will be available to purchase on home media on June 4th 2019 in the US and Canada. Though no international editions have been announced yet, it’s likely they’ll follow soon after. For those impatient, or in the advent that it doesn’t get an international release, the set will be REGION FREE.

These episodes feature guest stars including: Dick Van Dyke, the Three Stooges, Laurel and Hardy, The Harlem Globetrotters, Sonny and Cher, Davy Jones of The Monkees, Mama Cass Elliot, Johnathan Winters, Tim Conway, Don Adams, Jerry Reed, Phyllis Diller, Sandy Duncan, Batman and Robin (Adam West and Burt Ward), Josie and the Pussycats, Speed Buggy and Jeannie from I Dream of Jeannie (Barbara Eden).
