Raven Navy Issue - are Torps now a good option for PVE?

Short follow up on my 'Raven Navy Issue' video yesterday. One of the commenters Maumas Mumu suggest trying Torps now utilising the Warhead Charge implant's precision mode.

I have regularly tested torps on various PvE setup but always found them to be much slower clearing spawns even though the 'on-paper' DPS was much higher. However, with new Explosion Velocity bonus on the Raven Navy issue there is a good chance that torps could actually be more effective now - so I definitely thought it was worth trying out.

Anyway, as you can see from this video the Torps actually worked pretty well with precision mode enabled. I am not sure if they were as fast as the Rapids, but they did perform effectively, killed all the small targets pretty easily and they did appear to be faster in killing everything cruiser size and above.

When you consider that this test was in a hi-sec mission which has proportionately more small tragets it does make me think that Torps could actually outperform Rapids in other forms PVE where larger targets are more plentiful.

Anyway, in conclusion Torps definitely don't completely suck any more - at least if used on the Raven Navy issue (with precision mode and bearing in mind I also have some rigs benefiting explosion radius and velocity). More testing is definitely needed, but nice to know that Torps may actually be useful in PvE now!
