"Vivacious Lady" is one of my all time Ginger favorites, perhaps because it was the first Ginger movie without Fred I viewed. It has two classic scenes, Ginger in a cat fight and a truly charming dance scene, but it was more than that. Ginger just sparkles throughout. It doesn't hurt teaming Ginger with a great actor like James Stewart, for the only time, early in his career. Every great actor's
performance is improved paired with another great actor to play off against.
Stewart goes to retrieve his cousin James Ellsion from a bender in NY City, and his life is changed forever when he sees Ginger performing her nightclub act, singing "You'll Be Reminded of Me".
Within 24 hours they are married.
