It’s with a broken heart from Darla White Brooks and me that I share…

After a hard fight, our daughter is in the arms of Jesus now.
She will be taken off mechanical support.
This is not the ending any of us hoped or prayed for… but we will praise Him in the storm.

We know that Aleya, even in her passing, would want to have a positive impact on others lives.

We love everyone who has been such an incredible support through being with us on this devastating journey, for your thoughts, and for your prayers.

Although her heart and lungs were too damaged to donate, she still gave the gift of life to three others.

Psalm 34:18 promises that "the Lord is close to the brokenhearted..."

We are brokenhearted that our time on earth with Aleya has ended, but rejoice that her gift of life lives on.

Today, I share this remembrance with you, one week after her gift of life, as her life ended. Feel free to share this message and hopefully choose to "live and love like Aleya" by choosing for yourself the gift of organ donation
