Roots twirl all around

Reverberate the rocks
Through the cracks and aftershocks
Lift me up from the ground

Keep me warm
sheltered from the storm
Wrap me up
tight like a glove

In a cozy quilt
Made with the strength of spiders' silk
That engulfs all my body
While soft patterns camouflage me
and none of the flowers can wilt

Mourning dove, cooing from above
