There are fewer colleges in India and certain states have no colleges wherein students end up migrating to different cities for education which should not be encouraged.
The government should support increasing the number of colleges in all the states.
The state of research and development in India was discussed and the need for proper infrastructure, funding, and instruments to identify talented people for the same were addressed.
Indulgence in research should be uniform in all the institutions and there is a need for extensive help from the government to change the current scenario.
Colleges should encourage the students to pursue their masters & Ph.D and also the government should pay heed on identifying the right talent from every corner of the nation.
The academic institutions should stand self-reliant and work on development by collaborating with other educational institutions.
The industry should recognize value based education provided by the institutions and also value the talent and skills exhibited by the students outside the reputed universities.
The educational institutions should work closely with the industry bodies in applied areas.
The educational institutions should engage the industry leaders for guest lecture to expose students to the industry expectations.
