Tír Chonaill Stone Festival:The story of a Donegal event

Описание к видео Tír Chonaill Stone Festival:The story of a Donegal event

Tír Chonaill Stone Festival is an independent, community festival. A living heritage event, we run workshops in dry stone walling, stone carving and art, with demonstrations and talks from a wide variety of wonderful people. Originally inspired by attending Féile na gCloch, the event brings folk from all walks of life and nationalities together. In partnership with the Mountcharles Heritage and Walking group we are rebuilding a 600m long Famine Wall on an ongoing basis, using some recycled stone and with the help of many hands. Local tours form part of the festival, as well as the renowned song and craic by evening.
