'A New Yaongyimti' by Imlisunep Pongen

In 2019, with the intervention of IFAD-funded FOCUS Project, villagers of Yaongyimti were introduced to better farming practices that are both productive and are more sustainable. While the villagers had been solely dependent on jhum cultivation earlier, with the initiative of the Project, the community is slowly progressing and also directly benefiting from the project.

Note: This is an entry for the Vlogging Competition organised by FOCUS-Nagaland wherein the following were awarded as follows:
1st : Arien, Rajat Limbu & Tiakumzuk (Cash award of Rs 1.7 lakh)
2nd : Arenkaba Jamir & Sunep Pongen (Cash award of Rs.1.5 lakhs)
3rd : Kupe-ü Krome, Vikepe Yhokha & Keduokhrietuo Sachü (Cash award of Rs1 lakh)
