Shehzada (Translation: Prince) is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language action drama film that is a remake of the 2020 Telugu film "Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo." It is directed by Rohit Dhawan and produced by T-Series Films, Haarika & Hassine Creations, Geetha Arts, and Brat Films. The film stars Kartik Aaryan (who is also a co-producer) and features Kriti Sanon, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Rajpal Yadav, Ronit Roy, and Sachin Khedekar.

Principal photography began in October 2021 and was completed in January 2023. The film was filmed in Mumbai, Delhi, and Mauritius. The soundtrack and film score are composed by Pritam. The film was originally scheduled to be released on February 10, 2023, but was postponed to February 17th due to the success of Pathaan.

"Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo" (Translation: "There in Vaikuntapuram") is a 2020 Indian Telugu-language action drama film written and directed by Trivikram Srinivas. The film stars Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde, with supporting performances from Tabu, Jayaram, Sushanth, and Nivetha Pethuraj. Other supporting roles are played by Samuthirakani, Murali Sharma, Navdeep, Sunil, Sachin Khedekar, Harsha Vardhan, and Rajendra Prasad. The film is produced by Allu Aravind and S. Radha Krishna under the banners Geetha Arts and Haarika & Hassine Creations, respectively.


Production of the film started in April 2019 and was completed by December of the same year. The film was shot in Hyderabad and some song sequences were filmed overseas. The soundtrack was composed by S. Thaman, while cinematography was handled by P. S. Vinod and editing was done by Naveen Nooli. The film had its premiere in the United States on January 11, 2020, and was released theatrically on January 12th to coincide with Sankranti.

The film received positive reviews and was praised for its cast performances, Thaman's music, and Trivikram's writing and direction. It was commercially successful and grossed ₹262–280 crore worldwide, becoming one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of all time and one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2020. Thaman won the National Film Award for Best Music Direction and the film won ten South Indian International Movie Awards, including Best Film – Telugu. A Hindi-language remake titled "Shehzada" is in production.
