Hi everyone, today I'm going to talk about lung transplantation. The patients with advanced lung failure due to end stage COPD or end stage interstitial lung disease or the pulmonary hypertension or the other poisoning like paracord poisoning leads to end stage lung disease. These group of patients, if they are not improving with the medical management, ah if the lung reaches end stage after the evaluation, so this group of patients will require a lung transplantation. So, Generally, after the transplant, patients should be on immunosuppressant, lifelong immunosuppressant. So always the risk of infection is there because the lung is an only organ exposed to environment. So they have to be very careful about infection in the post-transplant period. And also the rejection chance is also very high in lung transplantation. So we have to be very careful. Patient needs regular monitoring after the transplant. So we saved around more than 200 patients with the help of lung transplantation. So these patients are doing well with the lung transplantation. They are on regular follow-up with us. They are doing well and we were able to extend their life and also we are able to give good quality of life with the lung transplantation.
