How do I know if my cutter needs sharpening?
The below works for both serrated and straight cutters:
a. If you find you are having to push the produce with more and more force your cutter may be dull,
b. Visually inspect the leading edge of one of the eight teeth. The corner formed where the face of the cutter meets the top of the cutter is the cutting edge. This corner should be crisp, straight, not rounded over, and not chipped.

Difficulty - requires mechanical aptitude.
If you don't have a vise or have never used a file, send your cutter to PURE or show the video to your service tech. Sharpening with a file requires some skill with tools. Only do this if you have a vise and some skill.

1. Vice, you will need a vice to do this.
2. Use a brand-new sharp file.
1st choice, use a Flat Bastard cut file.
2nd choice, if you cannot get a Bastard cut file get a Second cut file.
