In Kungher, the chudel is revered as the Adyashakti of Kaliyug, representing the first Shakti or Mahashakti manifested in the form of a living flame, known as Jyoti. The villagers have deep faith in the temple and firmly believe that all their problems can be resolved within its sacred walls. Every Sunday and Tuesday, hundreds of devotees flock to the temple to seek blessings and solace, praying for solutions to their health, personal, professional, legal, financial, or any other worldly issues.

According to local folk tales, the spirit of Chudel Mata was worshipped as a goddess and was initially enshrined under a Varakhadi, a tree where good spirits are believed to reside. This ritual was performed by Shri Raichanddas Patel using only five bricks, approximately 250 years ago. Over time, the faith of the people grew as they attributed the recovery of their lost articles to the blessings of Shree Chudel Mata. As the belief spread throughout the region and the number of devotees increased, a permanent flame was lit and installed by the village elders, symbolizing the enduring presence of the deity.

Visiting the Chudel Mata temple offers a unique cultural and religious experience, allowing travelers to witness the deep-rooted beliefs and traditions of the local community. The atmosphere is filled with devotion and faith as devotees come together to seek guidance and resolution for their troubles. चुड़ैल माता मंदिर गुजरात के पाटन जिले में है। यह मंदिर पाटन शहर से 10 किमी. दूर है। इस मंदिर का प्रांगण बहुत बड़ा है। मंदिर में किसी देवी मूर्ति की पूजा नही होती बल्कि एक दीप प्रज्वलित किया गया था उसी की पूजा यहां की जाती है। इस मंदिर में रोजाना बड़ी संख्या में श्रद्धालु आते है और दर्शन करते है।

इसके पीछे की घटना यह है कि इस मंदिर के पास की सड़क पर आए दिन कोई न कोई दुर्घटना हुआ करती थी। फिर कुछ लोगों ने कहा की यहां किसी प्रेत आत्मा के कारण यह सब हादसा होता है। इसके चलते यहां के स्थानीय लोगों ने यहां मंदिर का निर्माण करने का सोचा और एक दीपक के रूप में मंदिर की स्थापना कर दी। उसके बाद मानो चमत्कार हो गया और यहां पर होने वाले सड़क हादसे थम गए। इसके बाद इस मंदिर की मान्यता बढ़ने लगी। धीरे धीरे इस मंदिर को एक नया रूप दिया जाने लगा।

मंदिर में आने वाले सभी श्रद्धालुओं के लिए प्रसाद के रूप में भोजन की व्यवस्था की जाती है। श्रद्धालु इस प्रसाद को ₹20 में खरीद सकते हैं और भरपेट प्रसाद ग्रहण कर सकते हैं। यहां के लोग माता जी को न्याय की देवी के रूप में भी पूजते हैं। उनका मानना है कि चुड़ैल माता सबके साथ न्याय करती है। किसी का अदालत या कोर्ट से जुड़ा कोई मामला होता है तो वे इस मंदिर में माता जी की पूजा करके उनसे न्याय की पुकार करते हैं। लोग कहते है कि चुड़ैल माता सबके साथ न्याय करती हैं। अब आलम यहां पर ऐसा है की सैकड़ो की संख्या में यहां पर भक्त अपनी फ़रियाद लेकर यहां पर आतें हैं।
