Finally, I can post this video! It is over for several days lol but of course, I was waiting for this date to post it.

Cesare Borgia was born on 13th September 1475, probably in Rome or perhaps in the small Roman commune of Subiaco that belonged to the Borgias and where his sister Lucrezia was born in 1480.
He was the son of Pope Alexander VI and Vannozza dei Catanei, himself a cardinal and bishop of Valencia in his youth, then he was the first cardinal man to leave the Church to start a military career, which he always aspired to.
A brilliant strategist, he had the revolutionary vision of the unification of Italy and conquered Romagna as much with his cunning as with his strength. He was made Duke of Valentinois by King Louis XII of France, he was captain general of the papal army, Prince of Romagna, among many other titles.
He inspired the famous Niccollo Machiaveli his book "The Prince". He worked with Leonardo da Vinci.
He was one of the greatest men of Renaissance Italy.
He died on March 12, 1507 in Viana, Spain, in a battle while fighting for his brother-in-law, King John III of Navarre. He leaves behind him his wife, Charlotte d'Albret, his daughter Louisa Borgia and at least eleven illegitimate children, his sister Lucrezia and an unfinished dream well ahead of his time.
The motto of Cesare is still famous today : "Aut Caesar aut nihil", which means, in Latin "Or Caesar or nothing", word game with the proximity of his name with that of Julius Caesar and Roman emperors.
He was also nicknamed Il Valentino.

This summary is very brief and does not pay homage to the man he was. No more than this video. I wanted to do something great for his birthday, but I had a difficult summer and I could not prepare a great video. But I still wanted to publish something. So I made this video about the adaptation of Borgia, taking this song to recall the chaotic spirit of Cesare in this version, who sometimes considers himself as a god... and sometimes as a monster. I would do better next year for him. But I hope that this little video will please you anyway. The Borgia family, and more precisely Cesare and Lucrezia... are very, very important to me, far beyond fiction. I have been to Rome twice honestly just for them. For their story. Their family is one of the greatest passions of my life, a passion and a fascination that has no limit.

So... happy birthday, Cesare. I will always regret that you died before you could realize your dream.
