A critical vulnerability in Log4j, the widely used open source logging package for Java, has shaken the InfoSec industry. The vulnerability, known as "Log4Shell" and tracked as CVE-2021-44228, was revealed earlier this month, and researchers observed heavy exploitation activity soon after. Experts are warning Log4Shell is one of the most dangerous vulnerabilities in recent memory.
