Sound massage didgeridoo in Do#/C#

This didgeridoo was specially made for sound massage, for one of Othello Ravez's student (Othello holds different didgeridoo and music therapy workshop throughout the year, check him out). The important criteria was to have a very lightweight instrument that could be carried at arm’s length while moving around for long periods of time, with a precise and rich spectrum that would allow the person giving the massage to play around the harmonics very easily. I wanted this didgeridoo to be as close as possible to the ones I usually makes when I don’t have the weight imperative, so I went for an air column that I have done many times already and modified it slightly, then I worked with alder for the body of the instrument, added touches of burl on both the bell and near the mouthpiece, and I selected nice pieces of oak and oak burl for the mouthpiece, for density and aspect.
I’m very satisfied with the result : it’s a 1,24kg very beautiful C#, quite solar in both its look and the energy coming out of it. I hope this will inspire you and if you’re after a similar instrument get in touch with me and we will talk about building one just for you.
