HO JAOONGA DEEWANA (Restored) - BUNNY

@bunny and friends - OK guys. This is my first attempt at restoring an old video. I gave it a couple of weeks but then I realized I needed more time which I didn't have. I managed to get hold of a copy on Umatic tape that was nearly totalled. I had to make the images larger to hide the Indus Music logo so this version is different from the original. Many of the shots of my dancing and singing on the beach had deteriorated over the past many years, so a few had to be replaced as it wasn't possible to restore them because of massive over exposure.
I needed to work on the faces but then that would have taken me many months, so I just put in lots of lighting effects over the whole video to hide imperfections and added subtitles. However, whatever the result is I sincerely hope it brings back memories of the nineties when Pakistan pop music was making waves.

Just a little story about the young lady in the video. In those days we were young and passionate about our work. We used to set out in a small Suzuki van with the director (Yasir), the cameraman (Rashid), an assistant, The talent (me and the model), and the make up artist and our gear. We would spend the whole day and half the night shooting all over Karachi.
On this particular shoot our model who was a guest relations officer at a five star hotel pulled out at the last minute as she couldn't get time off from work. She suggested we take her sister who must have been a school girl. I mean she was really young. But after make up she looked a bit older so we decided to use her. This young lady had such a huge impact that after the video went viral everyone was asking me who the girl was. I suppose she had some sort of star appeal. Later I came to know that immediately after the Deewana vido she got the main part in a big budget commercial.
And to this day, some 30 years on I never found out her name.
