Hi, I'm Marc Calderwood, I'm Phyllis. We are the owners of the Idalia Road Marketplace. We opened the marketplace in 2009, been open for 5 years now. And we specialize in small micro businesses that come out to have their business here at the marketplace and in the location of Rio Rancho.
It’s something for the community to gather, it’s a great place to meet your friends, it’s a great place to come out and sell your products or your art or your food. We’ve seen an amazing outpouring from the vendors and the community which makes it all the more special for us.
One of the things we did early on is we decided that during each month we’re going to have to have some kind of special event. This weekend is Healthy Wellthy and Wise, which is an alternative health care weekend. Wellthy being W.E.L.L , like well, T.H.Y, well-thy.
So we try to make everything a little fun and a little interesting for people to come out.
Customer service is not just to the people who walk through the gate, but we also have great customer service to our vendors here. We hope it shows in the kinds of vendors we attract to the marketplace.
We have great musicians that come out here, and we also have great food. We have Gio’s Mobile Bistro.
George and Jen don’t come out with hamburgers and hotdog. We have an awesome menu. It’s very eclectic, it’s very specific, and it’s very reasonable.
And, we’d like to invite you to come out to the marketplace, it’s not a big marketplace, its small, but we’re very friendly and always have a good time. So we invite you to come out and be a part of the marketplace.
