Rats and mice are invasive pests responsible for spreading disease and causing property damage, and they can often bring in ticks with them. To kill both infestations at once, check out JT Eaton’s Bait Blocks for Rodents & Ticks. These bait blocks combine the insecticide fipronil and the rodenticide warfarin into one easy-to-use economical product. Rats and mice will consume the bait, which contains both the rodenticide and the insecticide, and then act as catalysts to transfer the insecticide to any ticks actively feeding on them. This product is labeled to eliminate a wide variety of rodents, including Norway rats, roof rats, and house mice, and blacklegged ticks, also known as deer ticks.

Bait Blocks for Rodents and Ticks come with pre-drilled holes and are ready to use as is. We do however recommend you have tamper-proof bait stations and gloves. A tamper-proof bait station will deny any children, pets, or non-target animals access to the bait, and gloves will prevent you from leaving any human scent on the bait or the bait station. If rodents detect any human scent, they may avoid the bait altogether.

Load your bait stations with the bait blocks. These blocks come with pre-drilled holes for easy placement. The amount you’ll need depends on the rodent you’re targeting. For rats, apply 4 to 16 blocks per station. For mice, use 1 block per station.

Place the stations about 15 to 30 feet apart where you’ve noticed rodent activity. To determine the best spots to bait, look for grease marks along walls, fur, rodent droppings, gnaw marks, and rodent burrows.

Check your bait stations every few days to look for activity. Replenish bait as needed. Keep the stations supplied for at least 15 days to ensure all pests in the area consume the bait.
