I rush red with their own cavalry by converting them, then building a tower in their base to lure all the red villagers to their deaths. I was lucky this time because they had not built their barracks yet; usually when you reach their base they have a barracks and some broad swordsmen already created.

Note if you allow red to survive, they will boom economically and before long their entire base will be swarming with long swordsmen, catapults, and priests. Yellow is quite powerful in the beginning, so I stay away from the shore so I don't get discovered, which would cause yellow to send triremes and transports over to constantly harass my base. This significantly frees up attention to focus completely on building up the trireme/heliopolis army for the invasion.

The assault on yellow really does require a force that large; any smaller forces will likely not be able to take them out in one round without any replacements.

In my opinion, the discoverable gaia army in the northeast is completely useless; they have no tech upgrades, plus phalanxes are extremely slow. Complete waste of population slots in my opinion.
