the wen sect still attack the lan clan but with the additional of many invention of wei wuxian the lan clan didn't suffer a heavy loss and but because of what happen to the lan clan every sect become vigilant especially the other main sect

and when the wen sect called for the heir of every clan, other smaller sect willed and sent their heir but the other didn't, especially the other main sect except the jin sect who sent jin zixuan and some of his disciples

this enrage wen rouhan ( everything happen the same way in the prisoning of the heir of every clan but this time only jin zixuan who protected mian mianmian and got injured )

they have been trapped in the cave and many people died because of the monster in the cave but got save by wei wuxian, lan wangji, wen ning and wen qing ( who treated jin zixuan that save his life )

because of the action of not sending their heir on to the wen sect, wen rouhan decided to attack and started with smaller sect and then attack the main sect but because of his failed attempt at the lan clan and jin guangshan obedience of sending his own heir wen rouhan decided to attack the jiang clan and nie clan, but with the lan clan as a example other main sect have already become vigilant long ago and have enough preparation and no one died but jiang cheng got injured in the attack and yu ziyuan lost her golden core

( everything is the same in the war but this time because there's no yiling patriarch the war lasted for so long but because of the additional strength of the jiang clan they still win the war )

while fighting the war wei wuxian tried to convince wen qing to help them win the war and after convincing her, he propose a plan of announcing the dafan wen to be a small branch of the gusu lan that will just focus on healing which lan qiren and lan xichen agreed to, many smaller sect give their opinion of disagreeing but with the lan clan and nie clan ( nie mingjue only agree with a lot of convincing from nie huaisang wei wuxian, and lan xichen ) along with jin zixuan and her mother ( jin guangshit won't agree ) no one tried to do anything to the dafan wen that save them from being imprison after the sect won the war

( jin guangyao still killed wen rouhan but because lan xichen never needed to run away when the wen clan attack the lan clan jin guangyao and lan xichen never met so no one can testify that jin guangyao join the wen sect to be a spy thus making his action of killing wen rouhan as a way to surrender to the other sect but they still see him as wen rouhan accomplice so no sect trusted him making jin guangshan never acknowledge him with his effort to be notice acknowledge by his father in vain jin guangyao finally acepted it and dissapeared from the cultivation world living a normal life and because of this he never became sworn brothers of lan xichen and nie mingjue instead wei wuxian, nie huaisang and wen ning are the one become sworn brother )

and for xue yang he got executed immediately when xiao xingchen and song lan handed him over because this time the other main sect didn't suffer so much loss so the jin sect didn't havr much power ( so without xue yang xiao xingchen didn't need to give his eyes to song lan and he and song lan travel together as a rogue cultivator and met a'qing until they decided to form a sect in the yi city that save and pick up an orphan )
