Model 3 Challenge /

Model 3 Challenge is a mix of Time Attack and Position-based races. This was the first of four Model 3 Challenge races at Gridlife Streets of Willow. Since I qualified first the rules dictate that I start 5th due to the reverse grid rule for top 5 finishers. I continued on to finish 2nd in race 2, 1st in race 3, and 2nd in race 4. Combined with P1 in qualifying this earned me enough points for first place for this event!

Short Description of passing rules: Passing is dictated via detection zones and executed via blue flags in passing zones. This keeps the participants from doing anything too risky in their expensive road cars. (I am thankful for this since this car is also my daily driver). If the following car is within the specified distance within the detection zone, the lead car will be instructed to pass via a blue flag in the passing zone.
