Cleveland weather forecast for Monday, April 8, 2024.

Today's the day! Happy Eclipse Day & Home Opener Day. My goodness we have a lot going on in the CLE on this Monday. Let's get right to it.

ECLIPSE & HOME-OPENER FORECAST

Don't let this morning's rain worry you. It's expected and thankfully we're getting the rain this morning vs this afternoon.

Clouds will clear through the late morning and afternoon giving way to those treasured blue skies for a bit. However, it's not that perfect of a forecast as an area of high wispy clouds down in Texas will zip up into the Ohio Valley this afternoon giving us a thin layer of high cirrus clouds for the eclipse.

This shouldn't do much other than put a slight veiled filter on the sky for the 3 minutes and 49 seconds we been counting down to.

The spectacular conditions will continue just in time for the Guardians home opener. Clouds will increase overnight tonight into Tuesday out ahead of what looks to be a rainy week.

TODAY: Early rain gives way to clearing skies. High clouds move back in for the eclipse. Near 70.

TUESDAY: Some clouds, late day showers. Low 70s

WEDNESDAY: Mainly cloudy with a few showers. Low 60s.
