How Do We Turn This Season Around?? - NHL 24 Hartford Whalers Expansion Franchise - Ep. 50

Описание к видео How Do We Turn This Season Around?? - NHL 24 Hartford Whalers Expansion Franchise - Ep. 50

Helllooo everybody and come along for the ride as I resurrect the Hartford Whalers as an expansion team on NHL 24.

In this episode, we'll dig deeper into this Year 4 season and try to get on the right track after a poor 3-7 start to the year as we'll simulate 15 games through November. The Whalers are now at a stage in building this team where they should be clinging to an identity and playing into the culture and foundation laid out over the past few years. Since head coach Ricky Schneider won the Jack Adams Award in Year 2, the Whalers have shown plenty of regression and there are rumblings around the league that he may be on the hotseat if things don't turn around, and fast.

Tune in to find out if Hartford helps his case over the next 15 games as we'll simulate the majority, but also jump into some live look-ins in a few late-game scenarios. First, we'll jump into a match in Tampa Bay against last year's Eastern Conference champions. Tom Wilson scores a late goal to tie it up, but could we get out of Florida with any points? Then we'll jump into overtime against the defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks as the game-winning goal is scored within the first minute of OT action. The last live look-in will come against the Florida Panthers as we enter the 3rd period tied 1-1. However, the final frame would pay witness to five combined goals, although most of them came from one side.

In the next episode, we'll take on the (12-3-1) Ottawa Senators who sport one of the best records in the season's early stages. We'll be pitted against former Whalers goaltender from our inaugural expansion year Matt Murray, who's seen a big career revival in his second stint with the Sens. Tim Stutzle headlines one of the league's top up-and-coming units.
