📝 Ingredients:
• Olive oil
• 1 red onion, diced
• 4 spring onions, diced
• 4 garlic cloves, minced
• 3 tsp salt
• 3 tsp pepper
• 3 tsp chili flakes
• 1 kg (2.2 lbs) beef mince
• 1 egg
• 1 cup bread crumbs
• 1 cup diced parsley
• 1 can diced tomatoes
• Additional parsley for garnish


🍽️ Instructions:

1. Sauté the Aromatics:
Heat a splash of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced red onion, spring onions, and minced garlic to the skillet. Season with 1.5 tsp salt, 1.5 tsp pepper, and 1.5 tsp chili flakes.
Sauté until the onions are soft and fragrant, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

2. Prepare the Meatball Mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the beef mince, egg, remaining 1.5 tsp salt, 1.5 tsp pepper, 1.5 tsp chili flakes, bread crumbs, and diced parsley. Add the sautéed onion mixture back into the bowl. Mix everything together until well combined.

3. Form the Meatballs:
Roll the mixture into evenly sized balls, about the size of a golf ball.

4. Brown the Meatballs:
Heat another splash of olive oil in the same skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the meatballs to the skillet and brown them on all sides. This should take about 5-7 minutes.

5. Simmer in Tomato Sauce:
Once the meatballs are browned, add the can of diced tomatoes to the skillet.
Reduce the heat to low and let the meatballs simmer in the tomato sauce for about 20 minutes.

6. Serve:
Garnish with additional chopped parsley. Serve the meatballs with pasta or your favorite side dish.
