Exciting Old School Drum Solo On Incredible Sounding Vintage Drums

Описание к видео Exciting Old School Drum Solo On Incredible Sounding Vintage Drums

As a older drummer today, I still love the old school way of doing drum solo`s. This is the open type of solo made famous by drummers like Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Jo Jones, Sonny Payne, Joe Morello and Louie Bellson. This is one of my Ken Loomer Jazz Quartet concerts, and when it`s my turn to take a solo, I want it to be dynamic and exciting for the people who come to my concert. I use my old school drum technique that works best for me to express the idea`s I have when doing a solo. It helps so much I`m playing on these vintage 1970 Slingerland drums with the incredible sounding wide open clear tone that I love so much. This Slingerland set has the wonderful 14x22 bass drum, 9x13 tom, 16x16 floor tom, and a 5.5x14 snare drum. All shells have the 3 ply maple, poplar ,maple with the solid maple rings on them. With no mic`s, you rear the natural and real tone of each drum. The sound projects so well and the people can feel every note I`m playing on this Slingerland set. The old school way of playing and tuning a drum set is the way to go for my style of drum playing.
