From the series ‘Physics then and now – the life and work of Don Perkins’.

This video is one of six, recorded at a special event hosted on 14 March 2024, to celebrate the life and work of Professor Donald ‘Don’ Perkins CBE FRS (1925 – 2022), who during his extensive and prolific career played a key role in the development of particle physics research since the 1940’s when the electron, proton and neutron were the only known fundamental particles to the discovery of the Higgs boson in the early 2000’s.

This event took place in the Department of Physics at the University of Oxford, in the Martin Wood Complex.
A full house of friends, family and colleagues spend a day celebrating Prof. Perkins.
