In my 7 days road trip to Sikkim and Darjeeling I have covered a lot of tourist places . In this episode, explore Darjeeling with me.
We explored some of the most beautiful sightseeings of Darjeeling. We visited Peace Pagoda then Japanese Temple - also known as Nipponzan Myohoji Buddhist Temple, the shrine was built in 1972 and is located 10 minutes away from the Darjeeling town centre, on the hill of Jalapahar, Showcasing classic Japanese style of architecture.
Then we moved on to HMI - Himalayan Mountaineering institute - It was established in 1953 by Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. This place has a museum that shows equipments used from early times and how they have evolved with time. With what i saw it would have been very difficult in earlier times to trek. This is a very informative place if you are a trekking and adventure enthusiast. There is a very big zoo here as well to explore.

Next we went to Rock Garden Its a beautiful place with lush greenery , beautiful flowers and A majestic waterfall.
Last stop was Orange Valley Tea Estate which is a bio-organic garden producing mainly black tea. It is spread over an area of 858.1 acres at an altitude ranging from 3,500 to 6,000 feet (1,100 to 1,800 m) above sea level. It produces 110,000 kg tea annually from the old Chinary bushes planted by the British. These are replaced at the rate of 2% per year.
