ହେପାଟାଇଟିସ୍‌ ବିଷୟରେ ସଚେତନତା ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିବା ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରତିବର୍ଷ ଜୁଲାଇ ୨୮ରେ ବିଶ୍ୱ ହେପାଟାଇଟିସ୍‍ ଦିବସ ଭାବେ ପାଳନ କରାଯାଉଛି। ଏହି ରୋଗର ଲକ୍ଷଣ, ପରୀକ୍ଷଣ ଏବଂ ନିରାକରଣ ବିଷୟରେ ଜନ ସଚେତନତା ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିବା ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟରେ ବିଶ୍ୱ ହେପାଟାଇଟିସ୍‍ ଦିବସ ପାଳନ କରାଯାଏ।

ଭାରତରେ ପ୍ରମୁଖ ସ୍ୱାସ୍ଥ୍ୟ ସମସ୍ୟା ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ହେପାଟାଇଟିସ୍ ଅନ୍ୟତମ। ଏହା ଲିଭର ବା ଯକୃତରେ ହେଉଥିବା ଏକପ୍ରକାର ସଂକ୍ରମଣ ଯାହାକି ହେପାଟାଇଟିସ୍ ଭାଇରସ ଯୋଗୁଁ ହୋଇଥାଏ। ଭାଇରସ ସଂକ୍ରମଣ ଯୋଗୁଁ ହୋଇଥିବା ହେପାଟାଇଟିସ୍‌ ଫିବ୍ରୋସିସ କିମ୍ବା ଯକୃତ କର୍କଟ ଭଳି ଗୁରୁତର ରୋଗର ରୂପ ନେଇପାରେ। ତେବେ ହେପାଟାଇଟିସ୍‌ ରୋଗର କାରଣ ଓ ଏହାର ଭୟାବହତା ବିଷୟରେ ବିଶିଷ୍ଟ ଯକୃତ ରୋଗ ବିଶେଷଜ୍ଞ ଡାକ୍ତର ଅଶୋକ ଚୌଧୁରୀ କ’ଣ କହୁଛନ୍ତି, ଆସନ୍ତୁ ଜାଣିବା।

World Hepatitis Day is observed each year on 28 July to raise awareness of viral hepatitis, an inflammation of the liver that causes severe liver disease and hepatocellular cancer. This year’s theme is “Hepatitis can’t wait”.
