The song "The Prayer" made famous by "Celine Dion" and "Andrea Bocelli" is one of the most requested wedding songs I'm ever asked to play.

I know it's an unusual song for my channel, but let me explain. My lovely wife Paula, used her feminine wiles on me, yes lady she batted her eyes, and asked me sweetly for weeks to please do a recording of it.

I've been asked if this song is a Christian song. The Prayer is mostly Biblical, asking for spiritual protection, wisdom, and restoration, all of which glorify God. The lyric asking God to guide us with His grace to me is a cry for salvation.

J.B. Phillips, as he put it in his translation of Ephesians 2 said this... "God, who is rich in mercy, because of the great love he had for us, gave us life together with Christ—it is, remember, by grace and not by achievement that you are saved—and has lifted us right out of the old life to take our place with him in Christ in the Heavens. Thus he shows for all time the tremendous generosity of the grace and kindness he has expressed towards us in Christ Jesus. It was nothing you could or did achieve—it was God’s gift to you.

"David Foster" and "Carol Bayer Sager" wrote the song, so for the accurate answer, you'd have to ask them. Let's leave it at the fact that it has a beautiful melody and this video is making my wife very happy...
