The best way to reach Diu is first to reach Ahmedabad and get a train to Rajkot or Junagadh. Even if you are from Gujarat, reach there as they are the big cities where you can get a direct bus to Diu. There are no railway stations in Diu, so you either need to hire a privet taxi or get a bus. The Diu airport does not have any major flights from big cities. two days will be enough to visit the whole of Diu. You'll find good hotels there from 2.5k per night. Avoid weekends (as it become too crowdy) and summer because they are very hot.
