How To Upgrade Firmware Aruba 225 AP to IAP
ARUBA CONVERT AP TO IAP
- Request:
+ 1 modem dhcp, or router dhcp, or switch pluged in modem or router dhcp)
- Plug in RJ45 cable from computer and Aruba(Enet 0) to (*)
+ Putty Win (LINK)
+ Firmware – File Aruba OS (LINK)
+ TFTPD (LINK): Create sever for sharing Firmware, Aruba will take it to install.
+ Console cable: Console cable of Ugreen chip FTDI FT-232 - 50073 or similar

- Plug in console cable from computer (USB) to console Aruba (RJ45).

- STEPS:
STEP 1: Copy firmware to folder location of TFTPD
- Open TFTPD: Server Interfaces = computer IP (card Ethernet)

STEP 2: Get code US:
+ Go to https://www.miraclesalad.com/webtools...
+ Input "US-S/N" (do not press Enter).
Example: US-CT0112233
+ “SHA-1 Hash(es)” - Save "CCode". Example:
CCode US: 11bab70bbb71473cd1c15c1717d711bbe5583f1d

STEP 3: Code on Console:
+ Unplug Aruba power
+ Open putty (Win) - Serial - Input number of COM - Open
(Address of COM: go to Manager - Device Manager - Ports COM & LPT)
+ Plug Aruba power and press “Enter” continuously

** Right click into screen of console to paste copied code (do not press Crl + v)
CODE 1: Change code AP to IAP-RW or IAP -US.

CODE 2: Unlock flash
invent -w
CODE 3: Set up sever address (TFTPD) for Aruba - Computer IP run TFTPD:
setenv serverip 192.168.11.201
CODE 4: Set up firmware to os 0 – File name of firmware
clear os 0
upgrade os 0 Centaurus_8.6.0.15 (do not blank in the name)
** If error: copy firmware to C:\TFTP-Root
CODE 4: factory_reset
CODE 5: Save previous steps
saveenv
CODE 6: Reboot AP
reset
