Laurent Ponsot 2017 Beaune 1er Cru Cuvee de Noyer Burgundy Premium Wine Review

Laurent Ponsot ran Domaine Ponsot for many years. In 2017, he left Domaine Ponsot to start his own winery. Going back to the traditions of Burgundy, he owns 7 hectares of vineyards and buys the rest of the grapes for his wines from growers. Overall, he produced 26 different appellation wines.

His label is unique: the green of the L reflects the color of young vine leaves emerging from the bud, while the dark grey of the P evokes the half-light of the cellar. The L descends from the sky while the P plunges its roots into our local soils. The horizontal bars of the two letters are open to the world: this is the trademark of the négociant. He also into leading edge wine storage technology including his polymer enclosure that is recyclable and breathes like cork, his connect technology with Grand Cru wine and intelligent cases which tell you if a case of wine has been stored in less than ideal conditions.

This wines is made with grapes from eight different Premier Crus sites in Beaune.
