Model Y Paint Overspray Removal | Red Clay Detailing

The 2021 Model Y was a victim of severe paint overspray. The Tesla was near a building being painting. The overspray was extremely heavy and covered the vehicle top to bottom. Paint was removed from the windshield before the Model Y arrived at the shop. Otherwise the driver could not see.

Removing the overspray required various processes and chemicals. The surface material included paint, glass, wheels, and various plastic finishes. The plastic surfaces were textured, shiny, and clear.

After removing the overspray, the vehicle received a single stage paint correction to restore gloss. Then it was protected with a ceramic coating.
