For many years now, Philip Morris International has been transforming our business and working towards our goal of a smoke-free future.

As one of the world’s largest tobacco and cigarette companies in the world, we are regularly asked why we don’t simply stop selling cigarettes. It’s a good question. And we have a good answer.

HOW ARE WE TRANSFORMING OUR BUSINESS?
We are working towards replacing cigarettes with better smoke-free alternatives that are scientifically proven to reduce harm compared to cigarettes.

WHAT ARE SMOKE-FREE ALTERNATIVES?
Vapes, e-cigarettes and heat not burn tobacco products are all examples of smoke-free alternatives. They are non-combustible products and produce either vapour or aerosol rather than smoke.

WHY IS PMI WORKING TOWARDS A SMOKE-FREE FUTURE?
It’s the right thing to do. There are an estimated one billion-plus smokers in the world, and they should be encouraged to quit. But for those adult smokers who would otherwise continue smoking, we want to provide them with smoke-free alternatives.
