🚶 Our Adventure:
Join us as we embark on an unforgettable trek with fellow travellers we have never met before. We started our journey early in the morning, and it took us around 5 hours to reach the peak point of Big Almaty Lake. Along the way, we bonded over the stunning scenery and the shared excitement of exploring this natural wonder.

📅 When to Visit:
The best time to visit Big Almaty Lake is from May to October when the weather is warm, and the roads are accessible. Winter visits offer a completely different, snowy landscape but may require special travel arrangements.

📍 How to Get There:
Tours: Group tours cost around 5000 KZT, and private tours range from 75 to 250 USD. Book online (https://www.getyourguide.co.uk/almaty...) or at a Tourist Information Center.

Bus: Take Bus 28 from First President’s Park to the last stop (10-12 km from the lake) for 150 KZT. From there, take a taxi (5000 KZT) or hitchhike.
Taxi/Cab: A taxi round trip costs about 15000 KZT, with a 1-1.5 hour wait. Yandex Taxi offers similar rates.

Rent a Car: Costs around 20,000 KZT per day. You need an international driving license.

Cycling: Rent a bike for 500 KZT (3 hours) or 3500 KZT (full day). It takes about 2 hours to cycle to the lake.

Hitchhiking: Start from First President’s Park and ask for lifts to the lake. It’s cost-effective but requires patience.
