What we’ve just heard is, honestly, one of the most Ludacris attempts at prophetic math I’ve ever seen. First, they tell us the darkness at the crucifixion was a solar eclipse — except Passover is always at a full moon, and solar eclipses only happen at a new moon. Strike one. Then they flip Psalm 81 on its head and claim “new moon” really means “full moon,” even though the verse clearly mentions both as separate events. Strike two. After that, they throw out 2,000 years of Jewish history and declare the Hebrew calendar “bogus,” replacing it with the Julian calendar of Julius Caesar — the same empire that crucified Christ. Strike three. And finally, they pull out a moon-phase website to line up September 23–24 on the Julian system with October 7–8 on the Gregorian, as if juggling calendars is how prophecy works.

Here’s the problem: it’s all smoke and mirrors. The feasts of the Lord in Leviticus were tied to God’s calendar (new moons and appointed times), not to Caesar’s. Jesus fulfilled Passover on the Hebrew date, not a Roman one. What we’re seeing here is failed date-setting trying to save face by moving the goalposts.

Now, I want to be clear: I believe with all my heart that Jesus is coming back. The Bible tells us to watch, to stay ready, and that we’ll know the season by the signs around us. But Jesus Himself said, “No one knows the day or the hour” (Matt. 24:36). That means every time someone circles a day on the calendar, they’re already wrong.
