“GerrisBoats” (name derives from the water strider insect, that glides on water surfaces) is a startup based on an innovative multi-mode hull.

Its design is made of_
a submerged body for low drag, efficiency and low wave formation at low speed
foils to make the boat “flying” and
a system of side mobile hulls, adjustable in their height.

This new concept boat and hull (designed full electric with hydrogen variants, safely stored in the submerged body) offers:
low drag, especially at low and medium speeds, if compared with traditional hulls, and then offers greater electric operation range
reduced wave formation, especially at low speed, not only when foiling and flying, so it has a great advantage and environment friendliness when used in protected waters
superior, high energy roll motion stabilization
adjustable platform/deck height
These last two features are essentials for a truly accessible water taxi application.
