Hello everyone, and welcome back. Are you looking for a platform for your online store, without having to pay increasing monthly subscriptions? If that sounds about right, then you’re at the right place, because I'll show you how to create a free online store that’ll help you start selling. Okay now, there are also premium platforms like Shopify that take a subscription fee, but they also provide more features and a much better experience. But is it really worth the extra cost when you can build an online store completely for free? Well, let’s find out. This will help your customers know exactly what you’re selling. I’d recommend choosing a niche that you have some interest in to build your business around. For example, my niche is organic products for weight loss, and I sell organic products. Also, if your b usiness is product-based, then use your store name. For service-based businesses, it’s better to use the servicer's name. Now, here’s something important to note, while adding products, make sure you use high-quality images. If you plan on giving color variations in products, get a picture for each color. Oh, and check out the zoom-in and out option. Mostly, customers like to zoom in on the product. The lack of a zoom-in option can undo your sale within seconds. The next important thing is to write product descriptions. The platform will provide payment options that you can use. Now, security is usually good on all websites including free ones, but if it is a top priority and you want an SSL certificate, then I recommend going with a premium option. That verifies that your website is safe, and a buyer would be more likely to share their credit or debit card information with a business that provides safety to them. And after you’ve set up the payment gateways, the next step is to figure out shipping. Now, many free websites also provide a lot of cool features like Search Engine Optimization and email marketing. But as your business expands, it’s better to use more features. When I first opened my business, I did it with a free platform and it worked just fine for some time. But once my business started growing, I knew that those features weren’t enough. For example, the free third party marketing apps were not enough and I couldn’t find abandoned cart recovery on any free website. Plus, if you choose a free website builder, you may find that there are a lot of ads which can be really annoying and distracting. Now, free websites often provide basic features like social media integration and community forums but you won’t get features like Multichannel selling or Unlimited bandwidth. So, after considering many factors I decided to try out Shopify, and it worked out great. No extra charges are required. And there are hundreds of payment options along with Shopify Payments. Other payment methods include a transaction fee, but not with Shopify Payments. I also use the dropshipping model for my store, and they offer a range of well-known vendors to provide delivery services for your products.
