One of my earliest encounters learning to play guitar involved my dear friend, Stan White, an amazing player and human who brought exquisite notes forth from his '43 Gibson. Somehow I saved a recording that my brother made of Stan and I playing and resolved to save it for his two sons since Stan died prematurely, Through a family friend I managed to locate Stan's son Seth who was 5 at the time of his father's death.We met recently here in Vermont and we spent the day visiting his dad's old place in North Hartland as well as the house Seth grew up in and we spent some special time at Stan's grave. At the end of the day, Seth played his father's tenor banjo after which I began to sing and play this song on my guitar. Somewhere is a very large place.
I played the instruments and sang. My brother Rick mixed it.
