Improve your English speaking by playing fun English Speaking games! This game is called yes-no or 20 questions and can be played with 2 or more people!

Rules of the game: one person thinks of an object (for example, an animal) and the others playing have to ask closed questions (they get 20 to ask) in an effort to guess what the object is.

Positives-benefits of the game:
-fun ice-breaking game, helps student feel relaxed
encourages student to use correct question structures
encourages student to use extensive vocabulary
Great for warm ups and can be used for all levels

Does it… questions… does it live in Africa/ does it have a 4 legs…
Can…questions… can it swim/can I eat this animal…
Is it…questions… is it red/is it bigger than a car

COMMON QUESTION MISTAKE: IS IT BIG / IS IT SMALL?
Size is relative, for example a normal size dog is huge when you compare it to a mouse, but is small compared to a whale..
INSTEAD USE COMPARATIVES: IS IT BIGGER/SMALLER THAN A DOG?
