The Omkareshwara temple is one of spiritual icons that has been consecrated to bring the spiritual world of Hindu Mythology along with its tradition together to this modern world. The temple of Omkareshwara is being constructed in the Mudigere village of Hassan District in the state of Karnataka.

The important deity in this temple is the supreme Lord among the trimurthis, Lord Shiva in the form of Omkareshwara, where "Om" is first described as all-encompassing mystical entity which means "Existence".

The Omkareshwara temple is located in a small village called Mudigere which is about 25 km from Bengaluru-Hassan highway on the road towards Tiptur. The moment we took right from the highway towards Tiptur, we could feel a typical countryside with trails of thatched houses on both sides of the road, lorries with cows, small hamlets, narrow lanes branching out of the road and losing trail inside the clump of trees.
It is one of the nearby places in Hassan to visit with family and friends. Must visit places in hassan for its unique temple architecture.
