Last month Louisiana became the sixth state to pass a ban on abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected, which is usually at about six weeks of pregnancy. At that stage, many women don't know that they are pregnant.

Democratic Louisiana State Rep. Katrina Jackson has been defending her state's new anti-abortion law, saying the procedure as "modern-day genocide."

State Rep. Jackson joined Roland Martin on #RolandMartinUnfiltered to explain why she feels abortion is a form "genocide" being executed against the African American community.
