We begin Pirrie’s Paris apartment tour in the entryway, where she explains her love for minimal decor. She showcases a prized vase from ARGOT Studio, resting on a simple wooden piece of furniture. From there, we move to her music station, a nod to her musical upbringing. Pirrie emphasizes the importance of having a dedicated space for music in her home, sharing her favorite vinyl records, not only for the music but also for their stunning artwork.
The tour continues into Pirrie’s living space, where the star piece is her daybed from the early 1900s. This item was the first piece of furniture she bought for the apartment, and it set the tone for her Parisian style apartment. Inspired by the concept of a boudoir—French salons where women would gather and share intimate moments—Pirrie reupholstered the daybed and designed her studio apartment around the idea of having multiple seating areas for conversation, much like the Parisian vibe of boudoirs. The art deco era’s influence is seen in the use of exotic wood and rich, sophisticated materials.
Next, we visit Pirrie’s sitting area, a cozy nook featuring two Italian leather chairs and an art deco column, reinforcing her love for Italian designers and 70s interior design. Pirrie explains how the fashion of the 1910s and 1920s, from icons like Paul Poiret and Elsa Schiaparelli, informs not only her home decor but also her personal style.
One of the standout features of Pirrie’s home is her stunning marble chimney. She describes the moment she first saw it, knowing she would do anything to secure the space because of this beautiful, imposing centerpiece. The warm tones of the chimney influenced the overall color palette of the apartment, which stays true to the classic Parisian style with rich browns, reds, and subtle blacks.
Moving into the dining area, Pirrie’s Italian-designed table, created by architect Willie Rizzo, is the pièce de résistance of the space. Here, Pirrie often hosts dinner parties and collaborates with tableware designers, showcasing her love for “l’art de la table.” Her collection of tableware mixes metals and textures, a reflection of her eclectic yet refined taste, which aligns with her art deco and 70s decor influences.
We get a glimpse of her vintage vanity which holds special heirlooms passed down from her grandmother. This piece, often admired by her Instagram followers, is where Pirrie starts her day, surrounded by vintage cosmetics and fashion pieces from the 1910s and 1920s. Pirrie's dressing showwcases her love for sculpted shoes and perfumes highlights her attention to historical design and craftsmanship.
We also briefly explore her bathroom. Here, she keeps a few standout items, including a unique vase that ties the bathroom decor back to the overall theme of her home.
Finally, in the kitchen, Pirrie shows off her collection of tableware, which includes pieces from her friend Louise Roe and vintage silver plates from Turkey. As a host, Pirrie takes great pride in curating different types of metals and designs for her dinner parties, an important part of French culture and home tour experiences.
