Chordplay - 'Stevie Ray Vaughan's Happy Endings'

Описание к видео Chordplay - 'Stevie Ray Vaughan's Happy Endings'

Here's the next episode of Chordplay with 'Stevie Ray Vaughan's Happy Endings.'
In many ways, the late-blues legend Stevie Ray Vaughan was a walking encyclopedia of blues music. From his historic/authentic hard-hitting riffs, licks, and solos, all the way down to his habit of ending songs with a unique twist to the chord progression or saving a tasty jazz-flavored chord alteration for the finale.

He didn't always finish his songs with a "happy ending," but there are enough moments lurking in his music like this that I felt this lesson was necessary and an interesting area to explore in his musical habits.

With a legendary player like SRV, it's pretty easy to become distracted by the dazzling licks and solos flying around, which could lead to missing important pieces of his musical puzzle - such as these interesting and unusual chord types and extensions sprinkled at the end of several of his songs.
