One Minute Hug Chicago (Social Experiment)

How did the "One Minute Hug” project get started?
We are very “connected” but have so little connection. Technology is hindering REAL emotional contact. Human touch is becoming something we talk about doing in hindsight. In our daily life, whether we realize it or not, we CRAVE recognition. We crave attention from work, home, friends and family. We NEED to know we are heard, seen, and most importantly loved. Touch connects us on all of those levels. Touch increases oxytocin, a hormone associated with trust, love, and attachment.
