16th National Voters’ Day at Lok Bhavan | My India My Vote | Youth & Democracy
Attended the 16th National Voters’ Day at Lok Bhavan by interacting with young citizens who have entered the democratic process for the first time. It was encouraging to see new voters receive their identity cards, the Election Department’s calendar being unveiled, and sincere efforts of election officials, personnel, and youth icons being acknowledged. Democracy finds its true strength when citizens are conscious, participative, and committed. The idea behind ‘My India My Vote’ reminds us that voting shapes the direction of the nation and carries both constitutional significance and moral responsibility. I urge young voters to recognise the power of their choice and use it wisely in the service of nation building. The dedication shown by the Election Commission of India, election officials, BLOs, polling teams, and security forces, especially while working in Uttarakhand’s difficult terrain, reflects deep commitment to democratic values and deserves the highest appreciation.
