CCNY Science - 2024 Valedictorian Addhyaya Sharma

Addhyaya (Addy) Sharma is graduating with a B.S. in Physics, and a minor in Mathematics. Addy is a Macaulay Honors student with a 3.96 GPA, and he is the 2024 City College Division of Science Valedictorian. Addy is the President of the Physics Club, where he has spearheaded events like the Inaugural CCNY Integration Bee and advocated for equal opportunities in STEM.

His time at City College was highlighted by two years of research at the Laboratory for Nano and Micro Photonics, co-authorship of a research article published in the Nano Letters journal, summer research at National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and an international conference where he presented his research. This summer, he will continue his research at NIST and prepare to join University of Chicago’s Quantum Engineering PhD program in the fall.
