Main accused Dev Prakash Madhukar arrested from Delhi
According to media reports, the main accused of Hathras case, Dev Prakash Madhukar, was arrested on Friday (05 July 2024). After the incident, a reward of one lakh rupees was placed on Madhukar. It has come to light that Dev Prakash Madhukar has surrendered. Hathras police of UP had reached a hospital between Najafgarh – Uttam Nagar in Delhi, Dev Prakash surrendered before them. After this the police arrested him. Hathras police is interrogating him.
Who is Dev Prakash Madhukar?
Dev Prakash had taken permission for satsang in village Fullerai, Mughalgarhi. For this, a 72-member Manav Mangal Milan Sadbhavana Samagam Samiti was formed. Their names were written on the board installed at the satsang venue. Dev Prakash Madhukar is a native of Sikandrarao. He has a house in New Colony Damdpura, where his family lives. He is posted as a technical assistant in MNREGA in Sheetalpur block of Etah. Due to his job, he lived in Salempur Mitraul of Jalesar development block. After the reward of Rs 1 lakh and the FIR, the administration tightened the noose and removed all charges from him. A report has also been sought from the BDO in this matter. It is believed that he may also lose his job.
Let us tell you that 121 people lost their lives in the stampede on Tuesday (2 July 2024) on the side of GT Road near Fullerai village of Sikandrarao in Hathras. The police is investigating by registering an FIR against the sevadars of preacher Baba Surajpal and the organizers of the satsang. In this case, a case has been registered under sections 105, 110, 126 (2), 223, 238 of the Indian Penal Code by Pora Chowki in-charge Brajesh Pandey under Sikandrarao Kotwali, in which 6 people have already been arrested. Till now the main accused and organizer of the program, Devprakash Madhukar, was absconding. However, he was caught by Hathras Police from Delhi.
