A trip to tikar and bamileke land to visiting art's centre of Foumban in spite of the fact that Bamileke people abandonned traditional art to modernism. The final step of the journey end to the palace of chief bamun. Historically a notable of rank of Menkam (title in notable's hierarchy) allied with muslim during their conquest, fighting against his king, splitting and then creating his own chiefdom known today as kingdom of bamun people; anciently "FO MBAM". Around 12th or 13 th century, they lived near lake chad before migrating to the south where in somewhat like 16th century, fighting for throne a prince counseled by muslim traders made a putsch to become king but the king, informed, has been moved downward by his court. And the Nun river is the link which ties them in one communion cup for the royality. With the arrival of europeans,they have been divided in many tribes so called Bamileke, Tikar, Igbo, Massa, Mafa, Mbum,Hausa, Sango, Gbaya, Mundang, Musgum, Nso, Mbam &Enugu etc...
