Iran claims its air defenses shot down 13 drones over its territory within 24 hours, including at least one advanced U.S. MQ-9 Reaper. Iranian officials say the Reaper was intercepted over Hormozgan Province near the strategic Strait of Hormuz, with images circulating online showing debris and what appears to be a Hellfire missile from the drone. The MQ-9 Reaper is a long-endurance surveillance and strike platform capable of carrying precision weapons and operating for more than 24 hours. If confirmed, the reported losses could mark one of the largest single-phase drone setbacks for U.S. forces during the escalating regional confrontation.
